The fund seeks to provide long-term capital growth by replicating, to the extent possible, the performance of the MSCI Brazil Index, net of expenses.
The investment strategy of XBZ is to invest primarily in shares of a U.S. iShares Fund (iShares MSCI Brazil Capped ETF) that seeks investment results that correspond generally to the applicable index.
The MSCI Brazil 25/50 Index is designed to measure the performance of the large and mid cap segments of the Brazilian market.
It applies certain investment limits that are imposed on regulated investment companies, or RICs, under the current US Internal Revenue Code.
With 80 constituents, the index covers approximately 85% of the free floatadjusted market capitalization in Brazil.
