The fund seeks to provide long-term capital growth by replicating, to the extent possible, the performance of the MSCI EAFE IMI (Investable Market Index), net of expenses.
The MSCI EAFE Investable Market Index is a market capitalization-weighted index provided by MSCI that includes securities from Europe, Australasia and the Far East. The MSCI EAFE Investable Market Index is commonly used as a measure of broad international stock performance.
The investment strategy of XEF is to invest primarily in shares of a U.S. iShares Fund that seeks investment results that correspond generally to the applicable index.

The MSCI EAFE Investable Market Index (IMI), is an equity index which captures large, mid and small cap representation across Developed Markets countries around the world, excluding the US and Canada.
With 3,065 constituents, the index is comprehensive, covering approximately 99% of the free float-adjusted market capitalization in each country.
