ETF Sage
Canadian ETF knowledgebase
The fund seeks to provide long-term capital growth by replicating, to the extent possible, the performance of the S&P/TSX Capped Composite Index through investments in the constituent issuers of such index, net of expenses.
The index is comprised of the largest and most liquid securities listed on the TSX (Toronto Stock Exchange), selected by S&P using its industrial classifications and guidelines for evaluating issuer capitalization, liquidity and fundamentals.
The S&P/TSX Composite covers approximately 95% of the Canadian equities market, and has been the primary gauge for Canadian-based, Toronto Stock Exchange-listed companies since 1977.
The index caps constituents weights at a maximum of 10% for any single holding.
