The fund seeks to provide long-term capital growth by replicating, to the extent possible, the performance of the S&P/TSX Capped Information Technology Index through investments in the constituent issuers of such index, net of expenses.
The Index is comprised of securities of Canadian information technology sector issuers listed on the TSX, selected by S&P using its industrial classifications and guidelines for evaluating issuer capitalization, liquidity and fundamentals.
The S&P/TSX Capped Information Technology imposes capped weights on the index constituents included in the S&P/TSX Composite that are classified in the GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) information technology sector.
The S&P/TSX Capped Information Technology Index includes all industry groups such as Software & Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Semiconductors & Semiconductor Equipment.
The relative weight of any single index constituent is capped at 25%.
