The fund seeks to provide long-term capital growth by replicating, to the extent possible, the performance of the MSCI USA Minimum Volatility Index (USD), net of expenses.
The MSCI USA Minimum Volatility Index measures the performance of equity securities in the top 85% by market capitalization of equity securities listed on stock exchanges in the United States that have lower volatility relative to the equity securities included in the MSCI USA Index.
The index aims to reflect the performance characteristics of a minimum variance strategy applied to the US large and mid cap equity universe.
The index is calculated by optimizing the MSCI USA Index, its parent index, for the lowest absolute risk (within a given set of constraints).
Historically, the index has shown lower beta and volatility characteristics relative to the MSCI USA Index.
